adidas Hiring for Junior Data & Platform Engineer – Freshers

As a Junior Data & Platform Engineer within the EU Digital Analytics team at adidas, you will work as part of an agile, multinational team dedicated to developing, maintaining, and enhancing digital data products. You will report to the Manager of ML Ops & Data Engineering, based in the Gurgaon Tech Hub, and collaborate closely with data analysts, scientists, and engineers located both in Gurgaon and Amsterdam.

Your role will involve managing the EU eCommerce digital data assets, building and maintaining data pipelines in the Global Data Lakehouse, and ensuring Power BI dashboards are implemented in line with best practices regarding setup, governance, security, accessibility, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Engineering & Monitoring

• Build and manage data pipelines using Apache Spark in a cloud-based environment.
• Create fact tables for the Analytics team in Databricks Lakehouse.
• Code in SQL, Python, and/or Scala.
• Automate workflows using CI/CD tools like Jenkins.
• Write clean, readable, and well-documented code with appropriate tests.
• Actively participate in Sprint rituals with the EU eCommerce team and data engineers in Gurgaon.
• Assist in implementing new reporting structures within your domain.
• Ensure data accuracy, timeliness, and quality in all outputs.
• Monitor critical data pipelines and establish automated monitoring processes.

Power BI Reports Governance

• Perform basic updates and enhancements to Power BI dashboards based on analyst requirements.
• Coordinate with analysts and the Power BI platform team to set up appropriate workspaces across environments.
• Create and maintain active directory groups with proper data access and security for various user groups.
• Ensure that the Power BI reporting ecosystem aligns with best practices for governance, security, accessibility, and scalability.
